ProPierce

New technology enhances piercing capacity by up to 30 mm

 

With the forthcoming cutting data version for plasma cutting systems of the Q series, Kjellberg Finsterwalde will offer the new "ProPierce" technology. It enables piercing of larger material thicknesses than before.

 

The patent pending process increases the previous maximum piercing capacity by 10 mm in mild steel and by up to 30 mm in stainless steel and aluminium. The new technological process offers the user more flexibility. Material costs are reduced while using piercing instead of edge start. No process change, additional equipment or new consumables are required. ProPierce is available for the plasma cutting systems Q 1500 (plus) and Q 3000 (plus).
